victims at a bank and then followed them home in a silver chevy malibu or a white vehicle, and then robbed them. there have been 11 robberies since june 3rd most recent happened last wednesday. >> one man you'll see in most of the video is about 45 to 50 years old, 6-foot, heavy build, he wears a white t-shirt, in mess of the jobs that he is involved in. he has a grange beard and one of the videos you can see has a gray patch on top of his head. >> oldest victim is 96 years old. any one with any information is asked to call philadelphia police. well, search is on for young man caught on tape planting an explosive device inside of the chinese take out restaurant. you can see the device went off, "eyewitness news" reporter walt hunter tells us where the investigation stand tonight, walt. >> reporter: chris, detectives hearsay that suspect never uttered a word or said a threat simply walk in the

homemade. >> they believe it is what a homemade device, maybe an m80, 100, illegal device has no other purpose then for something like this. >> a prank, some kids i just don't know, he is a good guy. he is a good guy. >> reporter: neighbors and the store's owners both say that they have a great relationship, leaving the motive even more of a mystery. their hope that the suspect will be caught before evict tim ices anyone else. >> if they do this, one time they might do it again. if they put this device somewhere else, somebody else will get hurt. detectives believe the suspect is from the neighborhood so they are hoping someone will recognize him. because he appears to be just 14, detective say they hope a family member may turn him in. if you have any information call police immediately. live at central detective division walt hunter cbs-3 "eyewitness news".

well, take a look at this a new dramatic video from yesterday's deli storm crash in northeast philadelphia. this is surveillance video obtained exclusively by "eyewitness news" tonight. police say that the 86 year-old driver of that car drove through the front doors of steve's stein's famous deli at bustleton and grant as he attempted to pull into a parking spot. good news is in one was injured. new details tonight in the philadelphia, school budget crisis, a pennsylvania law maker is calling for an investigation into the conditions of the schools. state senator vincent hughes release aid report on the conditions today. he said funding cuts in the past academic year has had a negative impact on the quality have of education in the district. senator hughes is urging his colleagues to pass the cigarette tax to help fund the schools. >> this is clearly unacceptable, cigarette tax must be done, it must be donnas soon as we come back to harrisburg.

it must be done in a context that we prepare ourselves to do much more for the funding of public education for low income school district like philadelphia. >> senator hughes say parents upset over quality of education in the district should file a complaint with the pennsylvania department have of education. >> some members of the philadelphia federation of teachers stopped by the district headquarters today to express concerns about the upcoming school year. they say additional budget cuts means that the children will have access to fewer programs and services, even more than they did last year. >> we cannot, continue to have a system under funded to the degree that this system is and expect that our children are going to be successful. >> teachers say that they are spending up to $400 to replace school supplies that are no longer provided by the school district. meanwhile dozens of people turnout to help the paul dunbar school get ready for start of class volunteers painted, hung bulletin board
